When: Sunday 24 August 2008
Time: 10.00 am prompt at the Tower
Where: Blackpool Tower to Red Lion, Whitworth Square
Length: 53 miles
Age: Minimum age is 16
Closing date: 24 July 2008
Registration: Fee is £12 which includes a FREE T-shirt
  • Note! It's not a race. It's a fun run for charity.
  • Transport will be provided from the Red Lion for people and bikes.
  • Much of the bike ride will be on quiet roads

  • The course for both cyclists and rugby players consists of about 53 miles of a mixture of road, bridleways and cycle tracks.

  • The bike ride ends in Whitworth Square with a barbeque and party.
  • Refreshments provided free of charge at numerous “pit stops” along the route
  • Safety is of paramount importance – it is not a race, and everyone should keep together. Marshalls will be riding with the groups and their signals should be observed at all times
  • A support team will be following progress on the road, and anyone who feels unable to continue will be picked up and transported back to the Red Lion. Please report to a marshall before leaving the group.
  • Please bring waterproofs! - Cyclists must ensure their bike is of sound condition, that they have a puncture repair kit. A helmet is compulsory. Rugby players must wear their team kit.
  • PersonalAccident/Public liability Insurance is not provided by the organisers. It is the responsibility of all those taking part to provide their own insurance at their discretion. Your signature on the entry form confirms your acceptance of these conditions.
